The City of Watertown is proud to share the 2024 accomplishments of the Prairie Lakes Wellness Center, a city-owned facility supporting health and wellness for the community. Last year, the wellness center served 9,830 members, with January reaching the highest monthly membership units (youth, adult, senior, and family units) of 3,911. A total of 2,533 wellness classes were offered, and the child watch program had 2,395
visits.
Aquatic programs were popular, with 1,571 swim lessons taught to local youth, 7,918 swim-at-your-own-risk visits, and 33,751 recreational swim visits. The Sports Zone was active with 3,800 hours of programmed court time, 29 sports events, and leagues and rentals throughout the year. In total, the center logged 255,816 member visits and 11,419 guest visits.
Open 358 days in 2024, with 107 hours of access each week, the facility operated with the support of seven full-time staff and 255 part-time and seasonal employees.
